In addition to teaching and performing, I have written a number of a small number of works in diverse contexts over the years and am delighted to share them here. Currently, I am most engaged as a composer in the context of my project, Arcomusical, focusing entirely on new works for tuned berimbau ensemble. However, in the recent past I’ve written works for special events such as “Five Ponds,” on the occasion of the International Burma Studies Conference held at NIU in 2012. While living in New York City (1996-2004), I composed a book of “tunes” for small jazz combo that I performed with my groups, The Art Department and Matchbook.
